While checking a breaker box, the sheriff’s office says one of the deputies was shocked. The deputy was awake and alert and was transported to a hospital for evaluation. He was in good condition and released a short time later.
“While we don’t yet know all of the circumstances surrounding the power outage or electrical issue, this is also a reminder of the importance of safe and properly maintained living conditions. Residents should be able to feel safe in their homes, and property owners and managers play an important role in addressing maintenance and safety concerns promptly,” the sheriff’s office said.
