However, the heat will be dangerous regardless of whether or not advisory criteria is met. Widespread heat index values of 105-107F (41-42C) are expected. Locally higher heat index values above 108F (43C +) are likely during the afternoon hours, especially in areas influenced by the urban heat island. The heat will become dangerous as early as the late morning hours. If spending time outdoors, please drink plenty of water and wear light colored clothing. Do not leave children or pets in vehicles. If the pavement is too hot for your feet, it is too hot for your pet's paws.
